CONCEPT OF THE INSTALLATION
The fountain represents a sculpture made of yellow-veined marble depicting the lower half of a male figure cut off at the waist. The shapes of the figure are very rough, without naturalism, merged and generalized, so that from all directions the sculpture appears to be a softly rounded and abstract monolith.
A short copper pipe (6 cm) is installed into the upper part of the sculpture on the side of the “façade.” A small spout of water shoots upward out of the pipe. There is a small basin also out of marble under the pipe to catch the water.
The fountain is erected on gray stone tiles in the square in front of the train station. The height of the sculpture is 135 cm, the width is 60 cm. The water faucet is 125 cm above the ground.
